The view over Melbourne from Eureka Skydeck 88. 🤩

After two weeks in the Australian outback, it was a kind of a shock to be suddenly surrounded by all these huge buildings. But Melbourne was amazing, we loved the atmosphere and the many cool cafes. Well, the weather was another issue, but who cares anyway. ☺️

That’s how you conquer Uluru. Barefoot and with That’s how you conquer Uluru. Barefoot and with an ice cream! 😎

It was a long journey through the outback all the way to Uluru. But oh so worth it. And the kids loved it. They both loved the road trip and Uluru itself. I would repeat it all anytime! 🤩

The sun is setting over Ganvie in Benin. Ganvie i The sun is setting over Ganvie in Benin.

Ganvie is one of those settlements that are built on the lake! It may remind you of some SE Asian villages on stilts and yes it’s quite similar. There’s something magical about such places. The water, the reflections, the special way of life. Ganvie has it all. And it is Africa, which makes it even more interesting.

Harvesting chili peppers. 🌶 Did you know that Harvesting chili peppers. 🌶

Did you know that Asia only learned about chili peppers at the end of the 15th century! And now most Asian countries can’t live without chili! Well this photo is from Myanmar’s quite remote hills, just outside of a small village. And this is not the only chili plantation. There are plenty! But these people do sell their chili to the areas where it doesn’t grow well!

Do you like spicy food?

Visiting the tribes of West Timor was one of a kin Visiting the tribes of West Timor was one of a kind. It sure felt like these villages are living in a different time.

A guide is a must and so we hired Aka. He was really great! We followed him and the narrow roads and then paths lead us to these villages, where people have little connection to the outer world. They’re a part of the ethnic groups that have been living here for hundreds, possibly thousands of years. Even before the arrival of the Malay people who now form the majority in Indonesia.

Not many make it here. But it’s worth it. 🤩

Today is about Peru, I guess. Just found this phot Today is about Peru, I guess. Just found this photo from this amazing place. It doesn’t get much better than spectacular rocky islands, full of birds and sea lions. And these islands are super easy to reach, just half an hour with a boat from the port, which is about 3,5 hours drive from Peru’s capital, Lima.

Well that’s a life she’s living! Roaming around Machu Picchu, snacking on the always green and fresh grass. Having all the attention, because who cares about the ruins when you meet a llama! 🤩
