Visiting Krueger National Park with kids
April 24, 2016

Visiting South Africa wouldn’t be complete without taking some time to explore Krueger National Park. With a chance to see wild game that your kids may have only witnessed in the zoo, they will be mesmerized by the beauty of these wild animals up close. If you are hesitating to decide whether or not to bring the kids along, here are just some of the reasons why you should.

The Animals

It may seem like the obvious answer but it is truly a once in a lifetime chance for the kids to experience these game animals in the wild. Let them take photos and enjoy learning about the natural habitat of these wild animals.

The Facilities

The park is well equipped to accommodate children who are visiting the park. With all rest camps fenced in, you can be ensured of your family’s safety. These areas also include swimming pools, play areas and restaurants that boast a children’s menu.

The Activities

There are plenty of things available to keep the little ones busy. Even when you aren’t out viewing the animals, the kids can visit the Elephant Museum, the gift shops or attend the evening wildlife movie viewings. Kids can experience some culture by attending the frequent drumming and fire dancing shows or going on nature walks, horseback rides or helicopter rides with their parents.

The Fun Accommodation Options

Visiting the park is not all about the wildlife. Just staying in one of the interesting accommodations can be enough to excite both kids and adults. From luxury choices to safari lodges, the kids can really experience what it’s like to live in the jungle. Choose from cozy cottages, bungalows and caravans to guest houses, tent sites and bed and breakfasts.

No matter what you choose to do at Krueger National Park, it is sure to be entertaining for everyone.
